Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Philadelphia, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Pennsylvania run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 3β9:30 pm. It is closed on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (267) 519-0209. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, tomosushiandramen.com.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 837 reviews, which is a strong result for a ramen in Philadelphia and suggests consistent service.
Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Philadelphia follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Amazing Japanese place. The interior is in the beautiful Japandi style, very cozy and soft atmosphere. Sushi was really good, tomo roll was delicious. Overall just a great experience. I would highly recommend for an authentic Japanese experience. Our waiter Jeaven was phenomenal, very kind and quick. Will be back here for sure!

This restaurant truly impressed me. Itβs a cozy spot with an outstanding culinary experience from start to finish. What really caught my attention was their vegan sushi. Iβve been vegetarian for over 15 years, and this is honestly the closest Iβve ever tasted to the flavor and texture of traditional fish-based sushiβreally well done. Another big plus is that theyβre BYOB. We brought a bottle of wine, which made the experience even better. It allowed us to invest more in trying different dishes while saving on drinksβa win-win. The service was also excellent. The staff were very attentive and even helped me sing happy birthday to my partner with some candles I brought. They also surprised us with vegan mochi for dessertβthe passion fruit one was my favorite! Weβre not from the area, but we would definitely come back. This place left a great impression on meβhighly recommended.

I requested a modified Margarita Roll. I subbed out the tuna for torch-seared saba. They press fresh lime into the top which cuts into the smoky-fatty umami of the mackerel. Get it with extra shiso to tie the flavors of the lime and fish into the rice. This roll is perfect if you are tired of specialty rolls that are too sweet or sauce-heavy. ($18) I added photos for reference.

My go-to sushi spot (Kinme) didn't have any openings on a Saturday night so we opted for Tomo which has been on a list of to-try's for a while after reading some good things. We were seated quickly and the space is modern and quite spacious as it has two sides, the first of which is hidden when you first walk in. The menu is pretty expansive, ranging in your classic Japanese appetizers, sushi, nigiri, sashimi, ramen, bowls and a vast vegan selection. I also appreciate that you can request for ingredient substitutions in case you have an allergy or aversion. For a group of 2, we ordered: Steamed Veggie Gyoza $6: Mild in flavor, good and satisfying but nothing to write home about. Margarita Roll $16.00: This was my least favorite though I must admit I am not the biggest fan of raw. The tuna was fine but the shibakuze and sauce were very mild. Again, good but lacked that punch. Steven Roll: $16.00: This was my second favorite roll of the night. The creamy avocado contrasted well with the salty masago and the crispy salmon skin added the perfect crunch. Salmon Yaki Roll $14.00: This was my favorite and the creamy avocado and crisp asparagus worked well with the fried onion crunch

I feel like I should start with service: I had my birthday dinner here with a large party (7) and they were SO accommodating. They allowed a cake to be delivered ahead of time, were super communicative, gave the table great recommendations, and made sure I had a great birthday dinner. They also took the time to melt the candles to the cake platter, even though the cake isn't from the restaurant which was so sweet. Special shoutout to Truong N for going above and beyond to take care of us. The sushi was probably the freshest fish I've had in PHL so far: the classic rolls, like alaska and Philly roll were simple but also flavorful. The margarita had a nice bright flavor from the lime on top, and the bugz roll had a nice variety of texture and was super tasty as well, The restaurant has a nice, modern look with wooden details- the space feels super open for how small it is. Its also located right in old city which is a gorgeous part of Philly. Overall, I would definitely return and reccomend this place to any friends or family coming to town!
